We are seeking a Controller to join our team based in Wayland, Massachusetts. This role involves managing and overseeing the financial processes within our organization. As a Controller, you will be tasked with managing our accounting functions, tracking budget expenses, and ensuring compliance with various financial standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accounting process, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.

• Handle the school's accounting effort and manage year-end closing, including the annual year-end audit.

• Manage the enrollment and tuition contract process, including regular review and revision of contract language.

• Ensure the integration of contract payment terms and payments with our tuition management vendor.

• Oversee the Affordable Tuition Program (ATP), ensuring it aligns with the school’s policies and mission.

• Analyze and understand tax forms and other financial documents.

• Review and analyze financial aid applications, ensuring compliance with application requirements.

• Monitor tuition receivables for Aftercare and After School Programs using Quickbooks and other relevant software.

• Regularly reconcile Quickbooks with AR data and communicate regularly with parents about payment status.

• Prepare and submit required filings to national, state, and local governments as necessary.

Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems.

• Extensive knowledge of Accounting Functions.

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Proven experience in Auditing.

• Familiarity with Budget Processes.

• Ability to handle Month End Close tasks.

• Experience in preparing and analyzing Monthly Statements.
