Gun Lake Casino F&B Food Runner in Wayland, Michigan
Position Summary:
The F&B Food Runner is responsible for providing AAA 4-Diamond customer service while supporting all Food & Beverage venues. The incumbent’s primary responsibility is for expediting food and running food to the guest in accordance with all company policies and procedures with an emphasis on monitoring food quality and appearance. The incumbent will assist in ensuring prompt delivery of all food and beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic as well as assisting in pre-bussing tables by removing dirty plates and silverware that Guests are not using. The incumbent must also possess knowledge of all casino-wide features and promotions to be able to assist their Guests with any questions.

In this Role:
Maintain a professional and courteous attitude, ensuring positive guest interactions by always demonstrating Gun Lake Casino Resort’s AAA 4-Diamond service standards.
Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Gun Lake Casino Resort’s company-wide culture and “Unsurpassed Service” standards at all times.
Inform the immediate supervisor of any product shortages and equipment needs.
Always conduct yourself in a positive, professional manner that reflects “Unsurpassed Service” practices.
Practice and observe safety rules and regulations and encourage others to do so. Comply with Board of Health Standards.
Have knowledge of where the MSDS booklet is located for your area.
Display knowledge of all emergency procedures.
Knowledge of proper service of food and drink.
Must have a detailed knowledge of the menu, features, specials, beverages, preparation of food, and prices.
Observe and anticipate guests’ needs: condiments, dressings, silverware, etc.
Complete assigned side work and any additional tasks with an “Unsurpassed Service” manner of teamwork.
Responsible for informing the manager on duty of any Team Member or Guest opportunities.
Monitor the cleanliness of assigned stations including floors and assist in keeping the area free of debris.
Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in both written and verbal form.
Must manage time effectively with minimum supervision.
Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and mature decision-making.
All other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
Must be 18+ years of age.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience expediting food and carrying trays preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in both written and verbal form.
Must demonstrate sound judgment and mature decision-making.
Must possess and demonstrate great attention to detail in order to maintain the area’s appearance and operating standards.
Must manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
Must possess creativity and organizational ability.
Must be able to perform most work independently or as part of a close-knit team.
Must be able to obtain the required TIPS Certification and maintain certification.
Physical Requirements:
Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
Ability to read, write, and input data into the computer.
Must have the manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment.
Must have the ability to access all properties and areas.
Ability to lift and carry full tray/bus trays up to 50 lbs.
Work Conditions:
Work is typically in a kitchen environment, back-of-house area, or on the casino floor. Work areas may be warm, cold, or noisy and may contain second-hand smoke. Tasks may be required to be performed from a sitting or non-sitting position in a confined area. Team Members may be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, and grasp.
