As a Housekeeping Supervisor at our AAA Four Diamond Hotel Casino Resort with high occupancy, you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness, comfort, and satisfaction of our guests. You will oversee a team of housekeeping staff to maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness and efficiency, contributing to the overall success and reputation of our property.

In this Role:
Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of housekeeping and laundry staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning and productive operations.
Provide guidance, support, and training to maintain high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction in accordance with AAA Four Diamond standards.
Teach and train the proper steps of service ensuring consistency in delivery.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
Support the Executive Housekeeper in overseeing day-to-day housekeeping operations, including staff scheduling, room assignments, guest room maintenance requests, and other guest services.
Coordinate and oversee daily housekeeping activities, including board assignments, room cleaning, public area maintenance, and laundry operations.
Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to established procedures, production, and quality standards.
Address any operational issues or guest concerns promptly and effectively.
Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Gun Lake Casino Resort’s “Unsurpassed Service” and AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.
Maintain a strong focus on guest satisfaction by responding promptly to guest requests, inquiries, and concerns.
Ensure that guest rooms and public areas are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained to exceed guest expectations.
Establishes and ensures compliance of departmental policies, practices, and procedures in accordance with Gun Lake Casino Resort’s Core Values (The 7 Grandfather Teachings), while maintaining AAA 4-Diamond service standards.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness, and orderliness, in compliance with Gun Lake Casino Resort’s and AAA Four Diamond standards.
Enforce policies and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and Team Members.
Facilitate clear and effective communication between departments, especially the Front Desk, regarding room availability and status, ensuring seamless coordination and cooperation.
Maintain open and effective communication with the Executive Housekeeper, fellow supervisors, and other departmental leaders.
Collaborate with other departments, such as front office and maintenance, to address guest needs and operational requirements.
Proactively identify and address any deficiencies or issues promptly and ensure corrective action.
Handle guest opportunities and resolve conflicts with professionalism and diplomacy.
Provide training and ongoing coaching to housekeeping staff to enhance their skills and performance.
Promote teamwork, collaboration, and a positive work environment to foster employee engagement and retention.
Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities, and coordinate replenishment as needed.
Ensure proper storage and handling of supplies to minimize waste and maintain cost efficiency.
Coordinate with Purchasing and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Collaborate with the Front Desk team to understand guest preferences, challenges, and feedback, to make adjustments that enhance the overall guest experience.
Handle any Team Member or Guest opportunities.
Evaluate, oversee, and provide coaching opportunities regarding the job performance of Team Members.
Provide ideas for continuous improvements in Team Member Engagement and Guest Satisfaction, while achieving annual targeted retention levels for the department.
All other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
Must be 21+ years of age.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Some college or a college degree in hospitality or related field is preferred.
Previous experience in a supervisory role within the housekeeping department of a luxury hotel or resort, preferably with AAA Four Diamond or higher rating preferred.
Working knowledge of hotel/housekeeping management software and systems required.
Proficiency in Versa and MS Office preferred.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Solid understanding of housekeeping operations, including cleaning techniques, equipment usage, and inventory management.
Familiarity with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, as well as industry best practices.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and staff.
Ability to clearly present information through the spoken or written word; talk with customers or team members; listen well.
Ability to fluently read, write, and understand English.
Availability and willingness to work extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as business requires.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy, and stressful environment and maintain physical stamina, proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, Team Members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
Maintain a positive attitude toward work and engage with guests in a friendly and polite manner.
Ability to address stressful situations with clients with dignity, tact, and politeness.
Must be able to work with others, communicate well, and receive direction when needed to achieve department goals and objectives.
Physical Requirements:
Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
Ability to read, write, and input data into the computer.
Ability to climb, bend, reach, walk, and stand for the duration of the shift.
Manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment.
Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
Requires normal sense of smell, taste, touch, and hearing.
Ability to sit and work on a computer for long periods of time.
Work Conditions:
Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, and/or noisy and may contain second-hand smoke. Work may be performed in a small area with a 3 ft. wide access. Tasks performed from a sitting or non-sitting position. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping. These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned areas. Work may entail trained chemical usage. Constant contact with fellow Team Members and guests.
