Job Title: Phlebotomist

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join our busy team. The ideal candidate will have experience in blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data, decontamination, and updating patient information. Responsibilities include collecting and storing specimens according to established procedures, properly explaining the venipuncture process, demonstrating techniques using straight needles and/or butterfly needles, and fully understanding all physicians' orders. Additional duties include matching laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes, labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing specimens, checking requisitions for accuracy, packaging specimens for transport, and storing samples at required temperatures. Compliance with OSHA and DEP regulations, attending annual department trainings, and answering telephone inquiries are also required.
