Vanguard Domain Architect - Observability & Monitoring in Wayne, Pennsylvania

We are seeking an experienced Domain Architect to lead the design and implementation of Vanguard's future state of Observability and Monitoring capabilities within our vendor platform infrastructure.

As a Domain Architect, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our systems. Executes the vision, future direction, and initiative roadmap for strategic, infrastructure technology programs. Defines the reference and implementation architectures for strategic, infrastructure technology solutions.

In this role you will:

  • Provide the architectural leadership in shaping strategic, infrastructure technology programs and planning

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of observability and monitoring principles

  • Design and implement monitoring and logging solutions using industry-leading tools

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize monitoring needs

  • Develop and maintain technical roadmaps for observability and monitoring

  • Ensure integration with existing infrastructure and tooling

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in observability and monitoring

  • Identify and mitigate risks of introducing architecture technology enhancements, ensures that IT project teams comply with IT Governance policies and procedures.

What it takes:

Minimum of 8+ years of technical experience, with at least 3+ years experience in IT Architecture experience

Strong Preference of observability and monitoring experience

Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies and vendor platforms

Experience with monitoring and logging tools and technologies

Strong knowledge of software design patterns and principles

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have:

Experience with DevOps practices and tools

Knowledge of security and compliance requirements

Certification in observability and monitoring (e.g., Certified Observability Engineer)

Experience with agile development methodologies
