Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Retail Pharmacist I- (Pharmacy) in Webster, Texas

Responsibilities

In the absence of the Retail Pharmacy Manager, manages retail pharmacy operations for designated site and report to the Retail Pharmacy Manager. Responsible for achievement of customer service, clinical

initiative objectives, financial objectives, and regulatory compliance; adherence to professional practices and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic (KSC) and Kelsey Pharmacy policies and procedures, and management of all assigned personnel including students. In the absence of the Retail Pharmacy Manager manage the pharmacy personnel, provision of service, inventory, and overall profitability. Performs all duties of a registered pharmacist including accurate dispensing and counseling of prescriptions to customers.

Salary Range: $ 122,247 - $151,015 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)

Qualifications

Education

Required: BS or Pharm D College of Pharmacy

Preferred: N/A

Experience

Required: 2-4 years of retail pharmacy experience

Preferred: HMO and 3rd party managed care experience

2 years of experience as a Pharmacist-in-charge

License(s)

Required: Current Texas Pharmacy License

Preferred: BCLS

Immunization Certification

Pharmacy Preceptor Certification

Special Skills

Required: Operate computer terminal for processing prescriptions.

Preferred: N/A

Other

Required: Communication – Able to communicate with Pharmacy Department personnel to delegate duties,

inform about policies, train, assist with performance appraisals, and approve refunds/expense/returns.

Able to communicate with customers to handle complaints and problems, assist with questions, and

recommend products/recommendations.

Stress Tolerance – to accurately process prescriptions within the required amount of time.

Professional Appearance

Preferred: Write reports (i.e., weekly/monthly, accident/injury, expense, security), maintain logs, complete

daily Pharmacy Department personnel work lists, prepare paperwork for bank deposits, complete requisitions,

and complete new hire paperwork.

Able to travel to multiple pharmacy locations.
