Role Description We're looking for a Staff/ Sr. Staff Manufacturing Engineer that is looking to amplify their impact and help build a new manufacturing team. This person will be responsible for helping to start up our prototyping team. This work starts with a two-way conversation with our design engineers to both inform product design and get a jump start on developing quick-turn, low volume processes. Work will range from participating in hands-on trial builds at a prototype/pilot level up to delivering medium-volume, flexible solutions for an evolving design. These prototype manufacturing processes will inform mass production solutions. The work will also involve developing a strong understanding of Form's electrode processes and adjusting process parameters together with Design. You'll work with design and manufacturing engineers, supply chain, operations, safety, facilities, line operators, and a host of other teams and outside suppliers and consultants. As we manufacture our products for the first time, expect a slew of surprise issues that will need rapid root cause investigation and resolution demanding critical thinking, persistence, and collaboration. It's going to be an exciting ride building our Gen 2 product, and we hope you will join us in making giant batteries to tackle climate change!
