POSITION OVERVIEW The Associate Maintenance Manager (internally called a Maintenance Team Leader III) is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction for the production maintenance group. This role will provide maintenance leadership to deliver a world-class operation. Lead, motivate, and develop employees to achieve outstanding manufacturing results, while leveraging Continuous Improvement (Lean/TPM) tools, improving individual skills, and enhancing teamwork. The Associate Maintenance Manager will also be responsible for driving standards and consistency across the maintenance department. Function as a technical and business resource in areas of system operations and production requirements. This position requires considerable interaction with plant floor personnel, leadership team, engineering, external support, and vendors. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Lead/manage approximately 4 direct reports Educate, develop, and motivate the Maintenance team to achieve required departmental results, improving individual technical skills and enabling collaboration across boundaries Ensure company and government standards for quality, sanitation, and safety are met Establish and sustain sound relationships with employees to foster an innovative environment Provide business leadership which demonstrates commitment to department and plant objectives Facilitate, coach, counsel, and guide the Maintenance team to use continuous improvement tools and strategies to ensure results are delivered year over year Function as a technical resource for system operations and product requirements Facilitate effective communication between work groups, cross-functional resources, and other members of the plant and corporate teams MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years of maintenance manager experience Strong interpersonal, communication and listening skills Demonstrated leadership skills Ability to adjust to multiple demands, shifting work priorities, ambiguity, adversity and change Demonstrated understanding of technology and ability to create solutions to technical challenges Strong conceptual skills and ability to implement change Sound analytical and business judgment including demonstrated problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills Ability to plan, lead, and execute strategic initiatives in a complex environment Ability to lead change and resolve conflict Mature approach to challenging situations and environments PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 3-5 years manufacturing experience Previous maintenance experience Experience with contractors ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS International relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered.
