Position overview

  • In this position, you are part of the Quality Excellence team within the business unit eMobility.

  • As Quality Excellence Engineer you will be responsible for the Management system for all North America locations, ensuring the successful certification and continuous improvement of the processes. This will be a very hands-on role where you develop and execute Quality activities.

As the Quality Excellence Engineer, you will:

  • Coordinate and ensure external certification and carry out internal audits for ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 in NAM within our certification matrix.

  • Support the development of an integrated management system (IMS) with a focus on automation and digitalization in NAM.

  • Ensure that Siemens Corporate guidelines will be implemented, acts as an interface to Headquarters and between all relevant functions.

  • Coordinate and control the regulatory framework and the planning, preparation, and publication for NAM.

  • Train and support quality methods like FMEA, 8 D Method, Process capability, Process audit VDA 6.3, General VDA and AIAG standards for NAM and in cooperation with HQ. Help defining global quality standards.

  • Support the digital transformation of quality processes in the Quality Excellence Team and support maintaining central quality tools.

You will make impact if you have the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Engineering

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with the following:

  • Working in a quality role in an industrial environment

  • Quality management, especially in IMS

  • Professional interaction with managers

  • Working with a multicultural team and business partners.

  • Hands on knowledge of the quality requirements in business processes.

  • Carrying out audits according to ISO 9001 and preferable VDA 6.3.

  • Using data analytics tools, e.g. Power BI, tableau

  • Managing globally used SharePoint

  • Ability to travel up to 30% domestically

  • Authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Quality Degree

  • Automotive manufacturing or automotive supplier industry experience

  • American Society for Quality (AQA) certification

  • Organizational sensitivity: Senses the organizational structures, processes, bottlenecks and opportunities. Knows how the network of the organization works and how to operate in it.

  • Influencing: Being able to influence, generate support and align people through communication, and understanding the background and connections of the stakeholders.

  • The pay range for this position is $88,300 - $151,400 and the annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
