Job Description

Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking candidates for a General Manager of Facilities at Phoebe Berks, a 284 resident CCRC in Wernersville, PA. As a General Manager you will plan, manage, and guide multiple contracted services for a client normally generating $2-15M+ in revenue to meet operating and financial goals, client objectives, and customer needs. This position will have oversight of Engineering (POM), Environmental Services, Linen Distribution, Security and Shuttle transportation. Our General Managers are capable operations managers who lead a team to provide excellent service to our clients. With knowledge of the client?s business, positive relationship building skills, financial savvy, and a focus on safety, our team makes a difference every day

The General Manager of Facilities will directly manage Plant Operations & Maintenance, Security and Shuttle Transportation and will be responsible for the development & growth of a large management team and hourly associates. Will also focus on meeting and exceeding operating and financial goals, client objectives, KPI metrics, and customer needs. Will have daily interaction with the client, client's customers and employees. This individual will be focused on ensuring operational excellence in the delivery of the services Aramark is contracted to provide.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leads a team that provides operational expertise in contracted services while providing hands-on execution management of operations.

  • Manages the client and community relationships at the location, continually assessing operations, and developing plans to provide optimal service and drive employee and customer satisfaction.

  • Builds, develops, and leads a management team and staff capable of carrying out organizational objectives.

  • Recommends methods, resources, and implementation for service improvement and growth based on understanding of operational needs, capabilities, & contractual obligations.

  • In partnership with Finance, manages a budget and assists in the design of improvements to optimize financial performance and operational productivity.

  • Manages compliance with all local, state and federal regulations and codes and maintains all associated records and reports.

  • Ensures compliance with Aramark's standards of operation including safety standards and Aramark's Business Conduct Policy at all times.

Additional Responsibilities:

? Manages and prioritizes maintenance work orders for MEP, HVAC, boilers and chillers. Ensures effective execution of all department strategies/initiatives in order to help meet company & client needs with high standards of excellence, urgency & predictability by remaining process-focused and decisive.

Qualifications

In order to be prepared for this leadership role, qualified candidates will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Healthcare experience and a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in facilities management required (POM or Engineering)

  • Experience within Long Term Care or a CCRC (Continuing Care Retirement Community) is preferable

  • Knowledge of fire and life safety codes associated with healthcare required

  • Experience and knowledge of MEP, HVAC including Power Plant - boilers, chillers, generators, HVAC/R required

  • Previous construction management experience preferred

  • Previous experience creating and managing budgets and operational reports required.

  • Demonstrated time management skills, resulting in the ability to manage multiple client relationships and prioritize time and resources accordingly.

  • The ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services is a key success measure

  • Highly developed interpersonal, analytical and communication (written and verbal) skills and experience are essential for success in this role

  • NOTE: This client location requires all individuals working on site to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before start date.
