We are offering an opportunity to work in the heart of West Babylon, New York, as a Collections Specialist. This role will involve detailed attention to the collection processes, credit procedures, and customer service. This job offers a short term contract employment opportunity and promises to be a dynamic, engaging, and rewarding experience.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately catalog all customer payments to the correct reports.

• Employ various means such as skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence to locate delinquent customer accounts and arrange for payment.

• Guarantee the efficient processing of customer payments.

• Maintain and update customer files ensuring data integrity.

• Act as a liaison to maintain quality service to the customer and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries.

• Process bankruptcy filings in the correct manner when received.

• Comply with all rules and regulations established by the Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act.

• Manage inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence.

• Lead all billing and reporting activities in response to deadlines.

• Effectively analyze and make decisions on customer accounts.

Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.

• Solid understanding of Billing Functions.

• Familiarity with Collection Processes is expected.

• Previous experience as a Collector is desirable.

• Knowledge of Credit procedures and principles.

• Strong Customer Service skills are essential.

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) duties.

• Ability to handle Cash Collections effectively.

• Experience in Collections - Commercial is beneficial.

• Basic understanding of Collections is necessary.

• Experience in B2B collections is advantageous.

• Capability to handle Account Resolution tasks efficiently.
