GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Specialty/Invasive Nurse Practitioner (NP) will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
The Specialty/Invasive NP will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, consultation, and care coordination as a first line provider to patients and their families.
Provides inpatient and/or outpatient medical care.
Works in collaboration with attending physicians, advanced practice providers, consultants, house officers, nurses, and other members of the medical care team to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved safely and efficiently.
Specific procedures as per credentialing as indicated by training and experience.
Works in one of the following departments: Cardiovascular Medicine, Emergency Medicine, ICU, Interventional Radiology, Nephrology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Surgery, Urgent Care, Urology.
Shift Details:
12 hour shifts for inpatient coverage of neurosurgery and ortho spine service.
Responsible for daily rounding, admissions, discharges and consultations of ER and hospitalized patients.
Level 3 trauma center.

Requires Master's Degree in Nursing; Licensure as Certified Nurse Practitioner; Licensure as a Registered Nurse -OR- Requires a Bachelor's Degree; completion of an AMA-approved Physician Assistant program; Licensure as a Physician Assistant
- 2 years surgery APP experience
ACLS/BLS required
