GE Aerospace Lead Finance Specialist - Accounting Operations in West Chester, Ohio

Job Description Summary

This role will own various aspects of Controllership within the Commercial Engines Division, with a significant focus on product line monthly and quarterly closing, reporting, revenue recognition, account reconciliations, Internal controls, and process simplification to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis. Responsible for

driving technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis. In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring Lease payment process for multiple product lines is completed timely and accurately. You will be responsible to keep orders updated and work closely with Finance team. Provide project support on an as-needed basis.

In Addition:

• Assist with Balance Sheet analysis and variance commentary for quarterly discussion with leadership

• Key critical controls such as Impairment Review, and DR reporting

• Drive simplification across product lines thereby eliminate waste

• Identify areas for improving processes, identifying & implementing controls

• Support internal and external audits

• Focus on team & department priorities within operating unit

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Finance).

• Good knowledge of Oracle functionality
