As a Senior Project Manager at DePuy Synthes, you will specialize in new product development processes and metrics and will be responsible for all project management aspects of a project. You will be helping lead the project team through all phases of the product development process and collaborating with many cross-functional partners on planning and executing projects or portions of a project from concept through product launch and commercialization. You will also be expected to develop a working understanding of our product lines and various pathologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with cross-functional business partners to create and maintain project plans and risk-adjusted timelines.

  • Builds, monitors and analyzes project risks and identifies mitigation strategies.

  • Handles project communications to all cross-functional project team members and partners, which may include: project websites, meeting minutes, status reports, presentations, and any other detailed project information needed.

  • Serves as the point of contact for all internal partners (manufacturing, accounting, purchasing, sterilization, packaging, regulatory, quality, clinical, etc.) regarding project activities.

  • Determines the critical path, and identifies and resolves roadblock issues.

  • Defines key project constraints such as scope, schedule, budget, and resources.

  • Ensures project plans and deliverables follow appropriate design control procedures and any other applicable procedures and/or regulations.

  • Acts as the liaison with R&D group managers or other cross-functional managers as needed to ensure project goals are achieved.

  • Knows and follow all laws and policies that apply to the job and maintains the highest levels of professionalism, ethics and compliance at all times. Participates in our compliance program-related activities as denoted by your supervisor or Chief Compliance Officer.

  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Performs other duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences, Business, Engineering or related field

  • Advanced Technical Degree or Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) Preferred

  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) or equivalent preferred

Experience

  • 4-6 years’ significant Project Management experience

  • Experience effectively leading projects in all phases of new product development required

  • Experience in the medical device industry preferred, particularly in Biomaterials and/or Soft Tissue repair new product introductions

  • Agile Scrum experience preferred

  • Experience leading geographically dispersed teams preferred

  • Developed leadership capabilities and negotiation skills, as well as an attention to detail and the ability to effectively assimilate and communicate complex information from multiple sources

  • Ability to recognize and facilitate the resolution of project issues and roadblocks

  • Must possess strong leadership, management and teamwork qualities

  • Ability to interface with stakeholders at all levels within the company and with external customers and vendors

  • Recognized as experienced and professional project manager by peers

  • Must be able to work independently, provide multiple solutions to problems and make systems work together

This job posting is anticipated to close on 7.22.2024, the company may however extend this time-period.

For U.S. applicants, in accordance with applicable disclosure requirements, the anticipated base pay range for this position is $88,000 to $123,000.

The pay range is the anticipated pay range for the position to which you have applied, and that such factors, including but not limited to, internal equity and experience will be considered for any offer.
