BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Industrial Maintenance/Industrial Manufacturing Technician for an opportunity in West Chicago, IL !

Position Title: Industrial Maintenance/Industrial Manufacturing Technician

Location: West Chicago, IL

Anticipated Start Date: 10/21/2024

Expected Duration: DIRECT HIRE/PERMANENT

Job Type: [FULL TIME /ONSITE]

Pay Range: [\$32] - [\$38.98]+ \$0.50 per hour on W2

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Requirements:

  • Any Industrial maintenance or manufacturing in any mechanical or electrical domain
  • Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting, industrial and motor controls preferred.

Job Description:

What you\'ll be doing:

  • Adheres strictly to safety protocols, leading by example and mitigating risks.

  • Executes preventive and predictive maintenance tasks accurately and promptly.

  • Proficiently troubleshoots basic electrical issues, in addition to mechanical problems.

  • Collaborates effectively with operations to address equipment anomalies.

  • Engages in proactive maintenance initiatives like FMEA and RCCA.

  • Utilizes internal CMMS to keep detailed records of work for future reference and analysis.

  • Upholds high standards of housekeeping in personal work areas.

  • Demonstrates proficiency in precision welding, shop tools operation, and mechanical repairs.

  • Skilled in reading and interpreting mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical schematics.

  • Familiarity with electrical systems, including motor controls, wiring, and PLC basics (Allen Bradley).

  • Installing and maintaining auxiliary equipment as required by production.

  • Maintaining and repairing utility and facility-related equipment as directed by the Plant Engineer.

  • Assisting/training other maintenance personnel with repairs, PM\'s, and rebuilds.

  • Collaborating closely with other departments and teams for proactive problem resolutions.

  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area.

  • Manage small projects to maintain or upgrade equipment.

  • Performing all duties in support of Sonoco\'s quality and safety policies.

    We\'d love to hear from you if:

  • You have experience in an industrial environment or military experience.

  • Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment.

  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting, industrial and motor controls preferred.

  • Comfortable with mechanical lifts, ladders, kneeling, bending and twisting,lifting upto 50lbs.

  • Working independently and managing multiple tasks in anoff-shiftposition with rotating shifts that will require overtime including weekends.
