Enviri Corporation Director - Global Financial Planning and Analysis in West Columbia, South Carolina

The Director – Global Financial Planning and Analysis leads the FP&A function in providing planning, analysis and decision support and works closely with the Rail Leadership Team (RLT) in formulating the financial aspects of long range planning, annual planning, forecasting, and strategic and tactical business decisions, including acquisition and divestiture activity, across multiple product lines and geographies. The position will report to the VP, Finance of Harsco Rail with close collaboration with Corporate VP, FP&A.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the quarterly forecasting and annual planning process in coordination with the Rail VP, Finance and Corporate VP, FP&A.

• Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic and finance initiatives, including long range plans and annual plans. This includes developing projections for revenues, costs and cash flows for all key aspects of the business, and articulating key business drivers and assumptions that underpin financial projections.

• Prepare, issue and maintain pulse reports for gross margin, bookings and free cash flow and communicate risks and opportunities vs. monthly and quarterly forecasts to the RLT.

• Develop and distribute relevant and timely management reports needed by the regional and business line leaders to run their businesses and prepare for the monthly business and quarterly operating reviews.

• Produce insightful and timely monthly and quarterly financial information as required by the RLT and corporate FP&A.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual presentations for the RLT, Enviri (corporate) Leadership Team and Board of Directors.

• Maintain FP&A processes and tools utilized by regional finance teams to support financial projections, management reporting and overall data integrity for decision making.

• Assist with special financial and business-related studies and partner with other departments in preparing analyses.

• Support acquisition and divestiture activities and provide analysis and insight for other financial transactions.

• Provide ad-hoc analysis and support as needed, including special projects such as tax and treasury initiatives and financial presentations.

• Lead and mentor a global FP&A function, including 3 direct reports and 5-7 indirect.

Basic Qualifications

A. Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business Administration

B. Experience

• 10-15 years finance experience, including experience with an international, diversified industrial company.

• Effective oral and written communication skills coupled with excellent interpersonal skills.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions

• Must be highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

C. Technical Skills

• Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles

• Experience using Hyperion Planning and Hyperion Financial Management software or similar

• Strong understanding of trends in FP&A technology and how data is consolidated and structured for presentation. Able to structure and manage data to give business insights.

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
