As part of our growth initiatives, we are seeking to recruit a Regional Sales Manager for a new business unit within Renishaws Industrial Automation Product Division. As a key member of the team, this role will be responsible for quickly establishing and overseeing the sales strategy for new products, developing business by creating lasting relationships with new customers and ensuring the business meets its strategic objectives for growth and profitability within their region.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Regional strategic planning, route to market creation and business development in alignment with the global initiatives & strategies, as structured by the Global Sales Manager (based in the UK).
  • Attend and be capable of presenting, at national/regional trade shows, open house events and conferences.
  • Use of Customer Relationship Management software to manage sales opportunities and pipeline.
  • Completing site visit reports, key account activity and monthly expense reports.
  • Develop large key account relationships for multiple sale opportunities.
  • Lead key selling opportunities, negotiations, sales agreements to achieve regional sales targets according to plan.
  • Extensive travel within the region (and occasionally to neighboring countries) to establish a market presence for the new product line.
  • Leverage the Renishaw Brand to gain access to prospective accounts through existing Renishaw sales groups.
  • Work closely with Applications Engineers to ensure the quality of the technical support delivered to customers.
  • Interact with customer contacts at all levels, including management, technical and purchasing.
  • Effectively communicate customer requirements and new product needs to the product development group.
  • Use of Microsoft Office products for creating reports, presentations, and general communications.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Minimum

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, or Engineer Technology equivalent, or experience equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of Industrial Automation sales through direct, indirect and channel partners
  • Experience with large complex organizations navigating through the sales process and negotiating win/win outcomes.

Education and Experience: Preferred

  • This position may require the use of, and access to, ITAR controlled data. The applicant must demonstrate eligibility to use and access such ITAR controlled data. The purpose of this requirement is to ensure compliance with U.S. export control laws.
