Our team recently received a 5-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in its 2023 Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems Hospice Survey (CAHPS) Admissions RN The Admissions Nurse performs pre-admission evaluations for appropriateness for hospice services. Initiates the admission process by educating and informing the patient/family of hospice and its services. Provides nursing assessment, initial plan of care, and intervention(s)that optimize patient and family directed comfort and quality of life. Qualifications + Graduate of an approved school of nursing with a current NC RN license or compact state RN license. + At least two years of experience in an acute care facility or home care agency. + Must possess a valid NC driver's license. + National Certification (CHPN) recommended after completion of at least two years of full time experience as an RN in a hospice nursing practice.
