Position Overview

The Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing nursing and assisted living services for our residents. This includes managing nursing personnel, coordinating care, and ensuring compliance with state regulations and internal policies. This role requires 24/7 coverage.

Leadership & Supervision:

  • Coordinate and manage all nursing and assisted living aide services.

  • Supervise nursing personnel and assisted living aides, ensuring clinical competence and exceptional care.

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards of care in collaboration with the team.

  • Participate in recruitment, orientation, and in-service education for direct service staff.

Resident Care:

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans.

  • Monitor residents’ health status and collaborate with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary team.

  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of care and services provided.

  • Provide direct nursing care as needed, maintaining a compassionate approach.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to Connecticut state regulations for Assisted Living Services Agencies.

  • Provide reports on service delivery, including statistical data and any issues affecting care quality, to the service coordinator and governing authority.

Operational Excellence:

  • Plan and monitor departmental budgets and staffing needs.

  • Promote a calm, collaborative environment that reflects the mission and values of Trinity Health Senior Communities.

Qualifications:

Licensure & Education:

  • Hold a valid RN license in Connecticut.

  • Possess one of the following:

  • A baccalaureate degree in nursing with at least two years of full-time clinical experience , including one year in home health care or community health ; or

  • A diploma or associate’s degree in nursing with at least four years of full-time clinical experience in the past 10 years, including one year in home health care or community health .

Experience:

  • Proven supervisory experience, preferably in assisted living, home health, long-term care, or a related healthcare setting.

  • Experience working with geriatric populations is highly preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems.

  • Flexibility to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.

Certifications:

  • Current CPR certification required.
