This role offers 8-hour SHIFTS, as well as regular weekend overtime shifts, as needed. The individual selected for this role will be assigned to 3rd shift (10:30 PM – 6:30 AM) Monday through Friday.

There is $1,000.00 SIGN-ON BONUS for this role. The hourly rate for this role is $18.22. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Operations Technician Assistant is assigned to different work areas (packaging lines, material supply, and shipping) on a rotating basis to backfill team resources. This person will assist in operating and maintain machinery and equipment in accordance with safety and production standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Keep materials supplied on packaging lines.

  • Aide in the Technical Operator in monitoring and troubleshooting operational issues to ensure efficient and continuous production processes.

  • Aide the Technical Operator in conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime.

  • Basic operation of packaging equipment and support for line changeovers.

  • Perform 5S and continuous improvement activities.

  • Perform general housekeeping tasks and quality checks.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to coordinate and optimize workflow for maximum productivity.

  • Help to maintain accurate records of equipment performance, maintenance, and operational parameters.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.

  • Current or recent work experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred, but not required.

  • Must be flexible to rotate to different assignment areas, as required.

  • Must have intermediate computer skills.

  • Must have basic to intermediate math skills.

  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate well within a team-based setting.

  • Must be able to actively participate in a team-based work atmosphere.

  • Must be able to pivot and adapt in a fast-moving production environment.

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are a must.

  • Must be able to adhere to a strict safety policy and comply with all standard operating procedures.
