The Package Development team collaborates with the CEO and all cross-functional teams to develop and execute new color and skincare products from concept through execution. This role manages all phases of process to ensure products are launched on-time and on budget while maintaining aesthetics, quality and performance.

WHAT YOU DO:

Works closely with Product Development and cross-functional teams to manage and execute on all project phases, monitoring project timelines and milestones

Project responsibilities include but are not limited to new development, resourcing, sampling, collateral, etc.

Understand the scope of the project and provide detailed briefs to suppliers

Source and develop stock and custom primary and secondary packaging

Create Bill of Materials and review and approve fill & assembly instructions

Oversee artwork requests and gather dielines/deco areas and required information for Creative and Production departments

Collaborates with manager and cross-functional teams to create risk assessments

Manage all areas of package testing including testing samples, perform in-house testing as needed, drop & transit testing, etc. and review and analyze test results

Request quotes and manage cost sheet requests to ensure projects meet cost targets

Communicate and resolve timeline challenges, provide updates on project milestones, and inform appropriate teams of technical and timing issues to ensure seamless project execution.

Coordinate and prepare comps for retailer and internal meetings as well as photo-ready samples

Review and approve packaging standards to ensure they meet quality fit, form, function, and aesthetic specifications

Research and evaluate new materials with an emphasis on sustainability while keeping a pulse on industry trends, innovations, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of 5 years of experience working in Package Development for a cosmetics brand

Luxury experience is preferred, but not required

Detail-oriented, flexible, and innovative

Strong skills in anticipating needs and demonstrating a proactive approach to job responsibilities

A creative thinker

Comfortable asking questions

Exceptional communication and presentation skills

Strong organization skills

Creative writing skills

Meticulous attention to detail

Ability to think outside the box

Positive personality: able to take on new challenges as they come and to switch gears immediately when necessary

Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook

Must be able to work from Corporate Office at least 60% of the time

The expected base salary range for this position is $95,000 to $100,000. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results.
