Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Manager in West Jefferson, Ohio

Description

Robert Half Management Resources is currently looking for an experienced Manufacturing Human Resources (HR) Manager to support a client in West Jefferson, Ohio. The HR Manager will primarily focus on Employee Relations, and will be responsible for implementing and executing company employee relations policies, handling employee issues, and assisting with retention strategies. This is a contract role, with a strong preference for candidates who would be interested in the permanent role following the contract period. The contract role will require some OT on a weekly basis as the position will need to be onsite to interact with employees from the first and second shift periodically on a weekly basis. Role is based 100% onsite at the client's facility in West Jefferson.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and execute parent company's employee relations policies

• Assist with retention and exit interviews

• Work collaboratively with the recruiting team

• Handle employee issues and concerns in a professional manner

• Provide strategic input on job descriptions and retention strategies

• Assist with the management of attendance records

• Maintain a calm demeanor in high-stress situations

• Foster effective communication within the organization

• Ensure adherence to HR best practices and compliance regulations

• Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth operations

Requirements • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a Human Resources role, preferably in the manufacturing industry

• Must possess significant knowledge and experience in Employee Relations

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential

• Proven experience in collaborating with HR Partners to develop and implement HR strategies

• Ability to interpret and apply understanding of organizational policies and procedures, and employment law

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and assess priorities effectively

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is required; a Master's degree or HR certification is preferred

• Proficiency in using HR software and computer applications

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire a team

• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality

• Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work under pressure

• Ability to develop and implement HR policies and procedures

• Experience in managing recruitment processes and HR projects.
