Job Title: Forklift Operator and Material Handler

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Forklift Operator and Material Handler in West Mifflin. This role involves operating sit-down forklifts and performing general warehouse duties. The position requires adherence to company safety policies and the ability to work various shifts based on freight volume. Typical hours are 7am or 8am start until 4pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime available. Compensation ranges from $18-$20/hr based on experience.

Key responsibilities include: - Efficiently sorting, handling, loading, and unloading palletized and non-palletized freight using motorized and manual equipment (e.g., pallet jack, forklift) as needed - Safely climbing in and out of trailers - Lifting freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights (up to 50 lbs frequently and greater than 75 lbs occasionally) - Securing freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g., pallets, straps, rope) - Walking and standing for extended periods on a loading dock that is not climate-controlled and may be slippery - Verifying and completing required documentation and reports - Frequently interacting with service center personnel in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment - Working safely in adverse weather conditions - Maintaining prompt, daily attendance at the assigned work location.
