The Job Coach is responsible for providing support to adults with a range of developmental disabilities to acquire consistent, competitive employment.Schedule for Case:Tuesday & Thursday- 2 hours a day between the hours of 2 pm - 7 pmTotal: 4 hours (Part-time)Job Duties:* Assist assigned individuals through the pre-employment process, which includes but is not limited to resume writing, mock interviews, travel training, job site shadowing, and systems training (depending on field of interest)* Assist assigned individuals with the interviewing process, review of company policies and procedures upon hire, and ensure that individuals understand their rights to reasonable accommodations.* Cultivate interests and skills related to future employment* Promote activities to help clients explore career opportunities* Build job-readiness skills* Help obtain and keep jobs* Promote work-related education and training* Identify jobs or careers that interest them* Use personal strengths and skills in the workplace * Have clients interact with employed adults as positive role models* Arrange for apprentice experiences* Set up career and job mentoring opportunities* Find volunteer experiences* Develop work-based learning experiences* Explore vocational or technical classes* Develop a career plan* Build an employment portfolio* Pursue job readiness activities* Collect job leads and develop job opportunitiesInterpersonal Skills* Demonstrates empathy and compassion in conduct towards clients* Demonstrates respect, cooperation, consideration, and tact in dealing with peers, supervisors, and others* Demonstrates professionalism, punctuality, flexibility, and a commitment to excellenceOther knowledge, skills, and abilities preferred* Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships* Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and choosing an appropriate course of action* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing* Strong leadership skills* Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills* Strong Organizational skills* Creative problem solving, and interpersonal skills are essential elements to this position.Education and Experience Requirements* Have an Associate’s degree or higher in a related field from an accredited college or university or have a high school diploma or equivalent with three (3) years of related experience.* Two (2) + years of field experience, preferably in employment-related services working with adults with developmental disabilities.* Marketing experience preferred* Must have basic technology skills & maintain access to a mobile device or PC to complete job requirementsTraining and other requirements* Minimum 20 years of age* Meets Annual Goal/s objectives.* Complete/maintain CPR, Handle with Care (HWC), First Aid, DDD Pre-service, and Boggs Center Training, and attend workshops to further professional growth and other training as required by ABS within the mandatory time frame.* Clear and maintain satisfactory all mandated background checks, including State/Federal criminal history background checks (fingerprinting), Central Registry of Offenders, and Child Abuse Record Information (CARI) free of disqualifiers.* Possess and maintain in “good standing” a valid driver’s license and abstract (not to exceed 5 points), if driving is required.* Must pass a drug test in accordance with The Stephen Komninos' Law.* Must have a reliable vehicle with valid registration and insurance and feel comfortable transporting individuals in personal vehicle.* Must complete Boggs Center: 4-day Employment Specialist Fundamental Training* Must have an operative smart phone* Complete 12hrs of professional development trainings per calendar year* Be familiar with the demands and expectations of business and industry* Willing and able to learn all areas of support, service and functions.Disclaimer: Once/If a position is offered, you will be required to complete a full ABS application
