Aerotek Carpenter in West Salem, Wisconsin

Job Description

Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, metal, plywood, and wallboard, using carpenter's hand and power tools. This role involves working on interiors and exteriors of commercial, industrial, institutional, and agricultural projects. Tasks include everything from basic framing to finish work on stick built, red iron, and post frame construction.

Hours:

Normally late start on Mondays, then a 10/12/12/10 schedule for 44 hours, no Friday unless job is behind, try to keep a rotation with the crews going for out of town so guys catch a break and aren’t on the road all the time

Responsibilities

  • Construct and repair structures and fixtures using carpenter's hand and power tools.

  • Work on both interiors and exteriors of various types of construction projects.

  • Prepare and complete all building tasks from basic framing to finish work.

  • Use building plans provided by clients and engineers to meet construction needs.

  • Measure and cut materials properly.

  • Install construction elements such as windows and plastic objects.

  • Erect construction frameworks for further work.

  • Inspect and evaluate the quality of intermediate construction works.

Pay:

$18- $25+ - depending on experience
