The MSP Learning Solutions team is looking for an experienced technical trainer to deliver highly engaging, scalable technical training programs and content for international audiences. The audiences consist of operations associates, maintenance technicians, operations leaders, and hardware support engineers.

In addition, the trainer will assist the Learning Solutions team to manage the learning environment, record attendance, report on tests, and develop training materials. This includes using surveys, quizzes, quality metrics and other available tools to evaluate the effectiveness of training and assess impact of technical training

We are seeking exceptional candidates who possess a blend of technical and customer-facing skills to successfully support new developing technologies for Amazon Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging. This job will require a unique combination of flexibility, troubleshooting, creativity, leadership skills and drive. As part of this highly visible team, candidates have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with multiple engineering teams within Amazon to contribute to the continuous innovation of the next generation of systems.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent skills in training delivery and instructional development with demonstrated experience deploying training programs out to a fast-paced, growing organization.

Key job responsibilities

• Put health & safety best practices first in all work carried out ensuring compliance with all health & safety standards and regulations.

• Serve as the technical and professional example for operations, RME, and Learning Solutions.

• Facilitate instructor-led training, both in-person and remote, with safe work practices that meet the needs of to meet the needs of technical audiences, customers, partners, and employees. Coordinate training and remove barriers for customers/trainees.

• Work cross-functionally with Learning, QA, RME, Operations, WHS and other teams.

• Administer training-related data in the LMS to align with cross-functional team requirements. This includes scheduling, registrations, and reporting.

• Rapidly learn new technical concepts, machines, and products, as required.

• Support timely updates, revisions and improvements of existing courses & materials. Playing a strategic role in integrating new product releases, concepts, and instructor/customer feedback into existing materials.

• Act as a subject matter expert for the broader training team with regard to technical topics or content.

• Be customer obsessed to help deliver and build scalable world class training programs.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ Years of experience presenting or teaching technical (Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, or Mechatronics) and non-technical (machine operations) content to a diverse audience of learners

• 3+ years of program or project management experience

• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

• Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

• Technical degree (i.e. Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, or Mechatronics) or relevant work experience required.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Passion for teaching and helping people learn to be successful in their role and meet business requirements

• Experience acting as a technical subject matter expert supporting multiple products and audiences

Knowledge and hands-on experience with robotics or automation technology

• Must be self-motivated, customer-centric, and can work independently in a collaborative environment.

Adhere and contribute to team standards that include style guides and templates to ensure consistency across all content

• Collaborate with technical subject matter experts (hardware, software, tech deployment engineers, tech integration) to understand our technology and how it operates within a complex system and translate this information to support the needs of technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ Years of experience presenting or teaching technical (Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, or Mechatronics) and non-technical (machine operations) content to a diverse audience of learners

• 5+ years of program or project management experience

• Self-sufficient, self-starter with proven success taking ownership of training programs.

• Experience conducting classroom training for Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, or Mechatronics products and services is preferred.

• Experience collaborating with learning teams and technical subject matter experts to design and develop instructor-led content.

• Experience conducting training needs assessments and using the data to continuously improve training evaluations and outcomes

• Strong facilitation, influencing and troubleshooting skills

• Proven track record evaluating the efficacy of training curricula and leveraging those insights to develop solutions that enhance learner performance and knowledge retention.

• Intermediate skills and technical competency working with instructional, graphic, and web development tools

• Experience with learning and knowledge management systems

• Ability to work in an ambiguous environment with changing priorities and work responsibilities; adapts approach, goals, and methods to achieve successful solutions and deliver results on time

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
