Vertiv Corporation Director, Global Strategic Operations in Westerville, Ohio

Vertiv is hiring a hiring a Director, Global Operations Strategy in Westerville, OH who will plan, direct, and coordinate activities to drive strategic projects and 3 to 5-year Operations Roadmap planning. This position will focus on leading the design and development of global operations strategies, aligning them with the company's overall business objectives, conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify industry trends, competitor strategies, and potential opportunities and threats for operational excellence. Develop long-term and short-term strategic plans for global manufacturing & operations initiatives and ensure their effective implementation with functional and regional team. RESPONSIBILITIES * Strategically Design and implement a customer focused operations short term and long term roadmap planning. * Develop overall strategic project planning, milestone management, scope management, resource forecasting; financial management; change management across the project portfolio. * Assure strategic planning for operational excellence related performance improvement. * Coordinate the activities across Vertiv teams, track progress, and work with regional, functional to ensure timely completion of milestones. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operations strategy with company business strategy. * Develop and continually improve the quality of information to help guide future strategic decisions. * Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies for global operations, identifying and assessing potential risks and interface with functional teams for strategic plan. * Represent global operations function with executive stakeholders, providing strategic insights and recommendations to support decision-making. * Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify industry trends, competitor strategies, and potential opportunities and threats for operations. * Facilitate effective communication among team members, stakeholders, and executives. QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain management, Operations management, or related field AND 10+ years work experience in Manufacturing Operations. OR consultant experience related to Lean Manufacture Operations. * Strong strategic vision and the ability to think globally, considering the impact of decisions on the entire company business and Manufacturing Operations. * Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing supply chain and operational strategies in a global or multinational company. * In-depth knowledge of global supply chain/operations management principles, practices, and technologies. * Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production processes, and Lean management. * Proficiency in using operations systems, such as ERP systems, and data analytics platforms. * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle complex business challenges and make sound judgments. * Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally. * Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing business environment, handle multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines. * Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques. * Proficient with MS Word, Project, Excel, Power Point, and other project management software and applications. &Apply here: https://www.aplitrak.com/?adid=YmJnZW5lcmljLjU1NjAxLjEwNTA4QHZlcnRpdmNvbXAuYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t
