Vertiv Corporation Payroll Manager in Westerville, Ohio
We are looking for an experienced and detailed oriented Payroll Manager to oversee and manage the payroll function for our North America operations. The Payroll Manager will ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for a diverse workforce while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role will also involve process optimization and managing relationships with internal an external stakeholders. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of success in payroll management and have strong and strategic planning and organizational skills. RESPONSIBILITIES * Manage the end-to-end execution of the weekly and biweekly payroll process for North America, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. * Partner with our third-party vendor to ensure all tax filings are in compliance with federal, state, and local tax government agencies. * Manage day to day tasks related to payroll processing and payroll tax. * Union payroll experience * Partner with business leaders within Human Resources, Finance, IT, and Operations to identify opportunities for improvement and recommendations for efficiencies. * Maintain and Manage payroll systems, ensuring data integrity and security. * Identify opportunities in the development and implementation of process and procedures to drive improvements and efficiencies in a controlled environment. * Provide and maintain an open-door environment for research and resolution of payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries timely. * Prepare and review ad hoc reports for senior management special handling and routing. * Partner with external vendors, such as payroll service providers and benefit vendors on service delivery, service inquiries, testing, metrics of service performance, and best practices. QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. * 10 years of payroll experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll management, preferably within a large organization. * Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including multi-state payroll requirements and Canadian regulations and compliance. * Experience with ADP WorkforceNow and Oracle HCM. * Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. * Proven leadership and team management abilities. * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational and communication skills. * Confidence in challenging the status quo; always on the hunt for continuous improvement opportunities. * Ability to Handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity. * Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred. * Proficiency in Excel and MS Office PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS * Please list all physical and environmental demands that may performed on a regular basis.
