Job Description: Summary: Conduct thorough surveys, by collecting, analyzing, and delivering accurate data to ensure success and efficiency of Kokosing's projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform precise surveys using various techniques to determine boundaries, locations, elevations, and measurements with great attention to detail and accuracy. Process and interpret survey data in order to create detailed maps, plans, and reports. Maintain surveying equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability. Troubleshoot issues, calibrate equipment, and perform routine maintenance to minimize downtime. Set and mark reference points, property corners, and construction stakes to guide construction projects, aligning with approved plans and specifications. Collaborate with Team Members to ensure accurate layouts. Work with Project Managers, Engineers, Quality Control and other Team Members to coordinate surveying activities for the Project. Provide input on surveying requirements and timelines in accordance with the Project Specifications. Comply with safety regulations, company standards, and government guidelines. Prepare accurate reports of survey and control for submission to the client. Proficiency using surveying equipment (total stations, GPS Receivers, laser scanners, etc.) and surveying software (Knowledge of CAD and GIS software). Knowledge of Trimble Total Stations, Trimble Access and Trimble Siteworks. Preparing information for crews. Minimum Requirements: Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering or related field. Relevant certifications and licenses are preferred. Relevant certifications and licenses are also preferred. Experience working as a surveyor, ideally in construction projects. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Eye for detail, precision in measurements, data collection and analysis. Ability to communicate complex information to technical and nontechnical stakeholders. Ability to identify and resolve errors and discrepancies, evaluate alternatives, and make informed decisions while prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines. Collaborate with Team Members to resolve survey-related challenges to ensure project objectives, and timeline are met.
