Job Title: CNC Laser Operator

Job Description

A manufacturer in the northeastern Indianapolis area is searching for CNC Laser Operators on a 'Weekend Warrior' shift.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate CNC laser machinery.

• Insert metal sheets or parts into machines to be cut, contoured, or bent to customer specifications.

• Lift and shake out sheet metal and discard scrap.

• Use calipers and blueprints to ensure parts meet client specifications.

• Prepare parts for the Fabrication/Welding department.

Essential Skills

• Laser operating experience.

• Ability to read basic blueprints.

• Ability to stand for 12 hours.

• Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience setting up a CNC laser.

• Experience with other fabrication machinery (press, grinder, bender, etc.).

This is a very large manufacturing floor with various fabrication, assembly, and shipping operations. The environment is not hot, but it can be a little loud when machinery or welding equipment is running. The dress code is appropriate for a manufacturing setting, and employees need to be prepared for consistent physical activity.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westfield, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00
