Description

We are in search of a Staff Tax Accountant to join our team in the Westfield, New Jersey area. You will be instrumental in assisting with tax-related projects and audits, ensuring compliance with various tax regulations, and preparing and filing tax returns.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns

• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations

• Support in tax-related projects and audits

• Utilize strong analytical skills to resolve tax-related issues

• Manage and maintain Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger

• Perform Bank Reconciliations and Journal Entries as needed

• Handle Month End Close procedures efficiently

• Utilize software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks.

Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

• Must have a thorough understanding of accounting principles.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations is essential.

• Comfortable with maintaining and managing the General Ledger.

• Able to prepare and post Journal Entries as required.

• Prior experience with Month End Close procedures.

• Knowledge of accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.

• Must possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion is essential.

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
