Job Summary

As a senior member of the HRIS team, the Lead HRIS Solutions Analyst works with business stakeholders to identify business requirements, recommend process improvements, and collaborates with technical team members in the design of technology solutions to meet business requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Acts as a supportive liaison between technology teams and business units, including interaction with vendor partners as required

  • Facilitates the capturing of business and system requirements; documents requirements into a suitable requirements deliverable; conducts necessary requirements review meetings; elicits and captures appropriate requirements approvals

  • Supports business partners in clearly documenting specific problems and seeking the justification and value impact to assist in HRIS work prioritization

  • Identifies and documents stakeholders for each work initiative; ensures stakeholders are appropriately engaged and well-informed throughout the engagement

  • Partners with business area(s) to document current state process(es) in question; documents and manages identified impacts to be addressed with proposed technical solution and/or revised process(es)

  • Seeks and provides a best practice approach in meeting business requirements; avoids system customizations whenever feasible

  • Partners with technical team members in translating business/system requirements into functional, nonfunctional requirements, serving as input to technical solution design, which may consist of traditional technical development and/or system configuration

  • Facilitates teams in identifying appropriate testing requirements for system changes; creates system test plans and test cases; executes system testing; provides helpful testing status updates, including testing defect overview

  • Oversees and facilitates teams in user acceptance testing; creates UAT test plans and may create UAT test cases; captures testing status updates, including defect overview; obtains UAT approval for migrating systems changes

  • Partners with business area(s) to identify process-related changes; evaluates proposed changes for efficiency, considering the effect new or revised processes have on day-to-day operations; ensures process updates are captured and communicated to affected stakeholders

  • Supports team members in creation of training materials; may occasionally create training materials

  • Supports team members in creation of communication artifacts; serves as a subject matter expert in review of project-related communications

  • Facilitates technology and business teams in deployment planning; serves as a deployment event coordinator between technology and business teams; ensures post-deployment validation is identified as a part of deployment planning, subsequently monitored

  • Identifies and analyzes project risks and related impacts; ensures timely notification to stakeholders; proposes mitigations, if applicable

  • Serves as an SME on large initiatives and may occasionally lead the initiative

  • Provides project leadership for small efforts, ensuring project deliverables are captured; leverages recurring status meetings to capture updates and keep stakeholders informed

  • Engages effectively across multiple technologies and needed integrations

  • Provides supportive collaboration to leadership and peers; exhibits professional demeanor through various interactions, sets a positive example

  • Gathers, interprets, and analyzes data related to a business or system processPresents recommendations to stakeholders based on data analysis

  • Researches new system functionality and best practices for Human Resources

  • Preserves the security, confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data that is stored, processed, or transmitted on systems that are owned or maintained by this role

  • Follows all policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines of the company, including those related to data security

  • Other assignments as deemed necessary

Qualifications

  • Problem solving, analytical, and inquisitive

  • Extensive experience in HR technologies, including Payroll and Time Management

  • Experience with the following HRIS systems preferred: PeopleSoft, Workday, Cornerstone

  • Forward thinking, routinely considering both business and technical impacts

  • Strong ability to remedy business problems with effective and efficient technical solutions, avoiding solutions that may be or become administratively burdensome

  • Professional and patient verbal, written, and visual communication skills, including the ability to translate complex ideas into understandable explanations

  • Strong meeting facilitation skills, adept at meeting planning and promoting team member inclusion

  • Active listening, respectful engagement with others

  • Team player, routinely demonstrates support to peers and leaders, ability to take into account the position and needs of others

In this role, the employee is continuously sitting and typing, frequently talking and using eye and hand coordination and may also be required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
