Charles Schwab Sr Specialist - Software Development & Engineering in Westlake, Texas

Duties : Write effective manual and automated test cases or automated frameworks. Perform software defect tracking and regression for identified software release. Analyze and understand each product’s environment, architecture, and interdependencies to determine and apply appropriate test methodologies and cases relative to applications being tested. Setup test environments and builds out interdependent test beds. Plan and execute functional and system level testing of products across all platforms to test various features. Apply expertise and understanding of issues that may arise around automated/load testing and assists in researching and providing solutions and to add, modify, or enhance previously recorded automated scripts. Analyze and record testing results and defects. Contribute to the creation of status, technical, and management reports as required. Support and provide guidance on the company's software engineering and test processes, procedures, standards and customer use cases. Provide test‐related technical direction and project management within a project/scrum team. Provide guidance in methodology selection, project planning, the review of work products. Collaborate with Technical Business Analyst, Software Engineers, Product Managers and other departments (operations, support and IT) and keep technically abreast of trends and advancements within area of specialization, incorporating these improvements where applicable. Position allows for 100% remote work. Reports to company Westlake, TX. Subject to Schwab’s internal approach to workplace flexibility.

Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.

Salary: $126,131 to $149,400 per year

What you have

Job Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management, or a related field 60 months of progressive, post-bachelor's experience in a related occupation or a Master's degree and 36 months of experience. Experience must include the following: Develop automated tests for software products and mobile applications using Selenium, Appium, XCUItest framework, Android UIAutomator, Junit, Espresso, HTML, CSS, Java, and Java script; Manage code repository using Bitbucket and Git; schedule automated runs using Teamcity, Bitrise, and Jenkins; Develop and maintain relational database SQL Queries and schema design to manage and configure test data; Develop Shell/VI and Bash scripts to setup and configure on-demand environments on GCP servers; Configure and manage security and load balancers using SSL/TLS, DNS, VPNs, and TCP/IP socket connections to ensure robust security and performance of the applications; Perform API Testing using SoapUI, SwaggerUI, and Postman, and perform debugging using Splunk and Linux commands for defect detection; and Trading products/systems that support stocks, stock-options, futures, Future-options, forex and mutual-funds.
