Overview

Sev1Tech is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Operations Center (NOC) System Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be pivotal in maintaining, supporting, and monitoring the network infrastructure for the meshONE-T mission. You will collaborate with a dynamic team to ensure the high availability, performance, and security of our network systems. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and driven professional with a background in network administration and a passion for mission-critical operations.

You will be responsible for managing and configuring information technology (IT) systems while supporting the design, implementation, and operation of the broader meshONE capability, which spans various mediums, environments, and warfighting domains. Your role will involve providing comprehensive network solutions in support of the United States Air Force, United States Space Force missions, and associated mission partners. * Monitoring & Maintenance: Continuously monitor network systems, servers, and data center infrastructure using a range of tools to ensure maximum uptime and performance. * System Administration: Execute regular system administration tasks, including server configurations, patch management, and backup procedures. * Incident Management: Respond swiftly to system alerts, diagnose root causes of incidents, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and prevent recurrence. * Network Support: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network connectivity, routing, switching, firewalls, and other networking components. Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure to ensure adherence to company guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs) * Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation for system configurations, processes, incident reports, and changes to the network infrastructure. * Collaboration: Partner closely with NOC engineers, system architects, and other IT professionals to ensure seamless integration of network systems and processes. * Security Compliance: Ensure systems comply with security best practices, regulatory requirements, and internal security policies. * Continuous Improvement: Engage in continuous improvement of NOC operations by proposing and implementing process enhancements to boost efficiency and system performance. * Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of evolving trends, emerging tools, and best practices in network operations, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and system administration * Job Type: Full-Time, Monday through Friday, and on-call status as required. * Work Environment:In office position directly supporting 24x7 NOC operations. * Location: Position is located at the Denver, CO, Sev1Tech office. * Travel: Some travel throughout the Colorado Front Range Area (Colorado Springs to Boulder) is expected Salary Range: $100,000 to $110,000

Responsibilities

  • 5 years IT experience
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification
  • Experience with connecting Servers and Storage appliances to Networking equipment with both Copper Cat5/6 and fiber
  • Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows and/or Linux environments. (Active Directory/Exchange/ADCS/PKI)
  • Knowledge of virtualization and containerization basics (e.g., basic understanding of VMware or VirtualBox)
  • Knowledge of storage architecture (NAS/SANS)
  • Experience with monitoring systems (ServiceNow/Elastic)
  • Security hardening of Information Systems (Linux/Windows/Endpoints)
  • Basic scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts or command line)
  • Basic networking knowledge (OSI layers, TCP/IP)
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make decisions quickly. SECURITY CLEARANCE: Top Secret/SCI Eligibility
