We are currently seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our Space Software group. Preferred candidates will be in/near Westminster, CO. The Software Team is comprised of four (4) sub-groups that are responsible for all software development. These groups work on a variety of programs including low and geosynchronous earth orbit satellites and NASA exploratory missions as just two examples. These four groups are: Flight Software (FSW) Development & Test - software designed to run on and operate Maxar Space Systems-builtspacecraft Dynamics & Control Analysis (DCA) - responsible for guidance and navigation control design Ground Software (GSW) - software designed to communicate to/from company-built spacecraft Simulations (DSS) - software designed to emulate company-built space We are investing heavily in modernizing and unifying our software development tool set used across these four groups. For example, in the last year alone, we have developed an ability to perform automated nightly builds and tests of Flight Software for one of our major programs. We have likewise developed a number ofmicroservice-based capabilities that automate how we share design information between the groups. This role operates at the intersection of exciting aerospace opportunities with cutting-edge software development practices and tools. If you areexperienced in the latter, and want to be involved in the former, these are the roles for you. Responsibilities: Enhance and maintain a containerized CI/CD pipeline, connecting multiple group's pipelines together Determine how technical design data and information is shared between the varioussoftware groups and help design/develop/maintain solutions to make that process more automated Implement the above solutions using a variety of technologies including Python, Typescriptand shell scripts, build out of AWS infrastructure, distributed version control systems such as Git, Linux, etc.

Minimum Requirements: Must be a U.S. citizen Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience (A Master'sdegree may count towards 2 years of experience) Experience with software development practices and tools

Preferred Qualifications: Ability and willingness to learn new applications within the evolving solutions/technology stack Infrastructure as code, cloud platform Familiarity with distributed version control systems such as Git Construction and maintenance of a CI/CD pipeline Development and test experience UI/UX development Linux or other Unix-based OS Experience with container technologies (preferably experience with Docker, Kubernetes) Familiarity with the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)or grafana Strong collaboration skills

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate's unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:$113,000.00 - $189,000.00 annually.
