General Description These positions perform work providing basic personal and nursing care related to the treatment, habilitation and rehabilitation of patients at state-operated facilities. These positions perform basic personal and/or therapeutic treatment duties, and perform basic nursing care. Some of the responsibilities may include but are not limited to assisting with daily living activities, bathing, grooming, dressing, turning and/or moving patients. Perform related work as required. Distinguishing Characteristics These positions are distinguished by the predominant duties of basic nursing care. These positions are not lead workers or supervisors. Minimum Qualifications Education: High school diploma or the equivalent. Licensure/Certifications: None. Experience: None. Substitution Information: Additional education and experience may be substituted based on a year-for-year basis or as determined by the Office of Shared Administration Equivalency Chart.
