Construction ManagerMJ is seeking a full-time Construction Manager. A minimum of 5-7 years of construction experience is required. This position provides leadership and comprehensive Construction Management / Engineering support for on-site construction projects at the Picatinny Arsenal in Wharton, New Jersey. Location:Picatinny Arsenal - The Joint Center for Excellence for Guns and AmmunitionDirectorate of Public Works213 NJ 15 Wharton NJ 07885Objective: Provide QA/construction support to field representatives. The following are anticipated job responsibilities and will include but are not limited to: •Oversight of the inspectors and coordination and accountability of all projects, administrative and in-field responsibilities.•Notifies government of discrepancies found during inspections and ensures compliance.•Interpret plans and specifications for the government and discuss deviations from specified construction procedures to ensure compliance with regulations governing construction.•Prepare and track construction schedules and requests updates as schedule changes.Implement change orders to project when required.•Review design drawings for constructability.•Review / prepares inspection reports, indicating discrepancies and evidence of noncompliance and determining states of construction progress.•Provide feedback and updates of pertinent day to day site conditions, deficiencies, and site discussions with field representatives. •Implement change orders to project when required.•Coordinate and perform daily field site visits to verify that work is proceeding with contract documents and approved submittals. •Provides and reviews submittals, RFI logs, maintenance logs, and other project related materials in a timely manner.Requirements:•Possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering/construction from an ABET- accredited college or relevant number of years’ experience.•Minimum 5-7 years construction experience. •Have excellent technical writing and communication skills.•A valid Real ID Driver’s License is required. Travel may be required. •Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain security clearance. Pay is based on applicant’s ability/experience and will be rated accordingly.
