Expected salary range of $105,300 to $117,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
Primary Purpose
This position reports directly to the station Outage Manager. Assists Outage Manager with Governance and Oversight (G&O) of station’s outage process/products such as the development of detailed plans/schedules for forced, maintenance and planned outages and ensuring site procedure adherence. Works to ensure Business Planning needs are met with long range planning and goals. Drives site for process improvements through best practices or innovative Ideas. Conducts assessments on the implementation of the outage programs and processes including observations made during the execution of the outage. G&O not limited to outage management but also crosses all organizational boundaries working with station departments and designated team leaders for pre-outage preparation and execution and process improvements. Solicits best practices internally and externally to improve organizational effectiveness.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
Supports Outage Planning with station needs and requirements.
Solicits best practices internally and externally to improve organizational effectiveness through Constellation fleet outage and industry lessons learned. Drives fleet process improvements through best practices and innovative Ideas.
Conducts assessments on the implementation of the outage program and processes including observations made during the execution of the outage. Leads and organizes teams in challenges on various priorities by reviewing commitments, long range plan, and priorities.
G&O not limited to outage management but also crosses organizational boundaries working with station departments and designated team leaders for pre-outage preparation and execution. Provide support for the outage plan and schedule preparation and execution.
Assist Outage Manager with governance and oversight (G&O) of station outage process/products such as the development of detailed plans/schedules for forced, maintenance and planned outages.
Assist Outage Manager with the execution of the stations Seasonal Readiness Plan
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Job Scope
Responsible for Governance and Oversight (G&O) of station’s outage process
Facilitates departmental communication and working relationships to help establish an outage plan to meet the station goals
Supports and participates in the outage management initiatives and lessons learned
Governance and Oversight directly impact outage safety management, duration and scope during planning and execution and drives process improvements.
Minimum Qualifications
BS in Engineering or Business with 6+ years professional experience OR
Associates Degree with 8+ years experience and 3+ years exempt-level experience OR
HS Diploma with 10+ years experience and 5+ year exempt-level experience
Ability to understand power plant processes and systems
Experience directing team activities and scheduling resources
Working knowledge Passport/P6/Microsoft Project
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Personal computer (PC) knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
Technical BS Degree
Combined Cycle Gas Plant experience
