Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for an IT Security Engineer I in the Wheeling, WV (GOIC) office.

Responsibilities

The IT Security Engineer I, under the direction of the IT Security Manager and with the assistance of more senior engineers, performs critical security-related functions for the firm as a key member of the IT Security team. Responsible for providing first level IT Security technical support. Performing daily and weekly first-level monitoring of key risk reporting systems. Compile and provide key risk reports to IT Security Manager for review. Escalate alerts exceeding established thresholds to senior team members for further review and action. Monitor Security Incident, Alert, and Change Management queues. Perform first level IT Security Technical support and triage for Security Incidents, Alerts, and change manage and escalate items to senior team members, as necessary. Assist in documentation of IT Security Processes and Procedures.

Qualifications

One or more years of experience in the field of IT Security. Experience in the legal, financial, or business services industries preferred. Experience with Risk Assessments and/or IT Compliance a plus. Working Knowledge of Endpoint Security concepts (application whitelisting, virus hashes, etc.) required. Working knowledge of Firewalls and/or IDS systems preferred. Working knowledge of IP, TCP/IP, and other network administration protocols. Experience with Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems. Ability to work independently. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Technology or Cybersecurity field or equivalent work experience One or more of the following certifications a plus: CompTIA Security+ CompTIA Network+ CCNA Microsoft Certifications CEH or similar Demonstrates outstanding teamwork and cooperation to provide outstanding client service. Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines in a dynamic environment through analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Is cooperative with other offices/departments/groups. Translates technical details into descriptions the client can understand; adjusts content of written/verbal communication to the audience. Ability to research security project-related issues and products. Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new security technologies. Read, analyze, and interpret technical documentation. Solid presentation skills and strong listening skills. Ability to create documentation in MS Office products including MS Word and Visio a plus. Collaborates effectively with others. This position requires the ability to adapt to flexible work hours, travel occasionally and to carry and respond to a calls outside of regular work hours as necessary to meet the business requirements of the Firm.
