Description

We are on the hunt for a meticulous Cost Accountant to become part of our team. As a Cost Accountant, you will be centered around establishing and upkeeping cost accounting standards, working closely with our engineering and production teams, and creating comprehensive operational reports to gain insights into manufacturing costs. This role is based near St. Paul.

Responsibilities

• Set up and uphold cost accounting norms and standards.

• Work synergistically with engineering and production teams for the review of Bills of Materials (BOM) ensuring their accuracy.

• Generate and scrutinize operational reports to gain a deeper understanding of manufacturing costs.

• Implement variance analysis to inform decision-making.

• Conduct review of cycle counts to aid inventory control in identifying the origin of variances.

• Compile weekly flash reports updating key performance indicators.

• Conduct regular reconciliations of inventory reserves, which includes inventory analysis.

• Take on other special projects as assigned.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in cost accounting or a related field

• Proficiency in using Crystal Reports

• Experience in Annual Standard Cost procedures

• Familiarity with Bill of Materials (BOM) operations

• Expertise in Manufacturing Cost Accounting

• Ability to prepare and analyze Inventory Reports

• Knowledge of Inventory Reserves management

• Demonstrated skills in Variance Analysis
