Position Description Six Side Supply is a startup and is looking for high energy, effective employees that want to put their stamp on the company. The Six Side Supply Project Manager (SSSPM) will work closely with construction projects to provide all material needs. The SSSPM will also work with other departments within McGough Construction to help build process and consensus on strategy. Six Side Supply is a subsidiary of McGough Construction, LLC. Qualifications Required: Associate's degree in construction management or similar 2 years of experience with project management Ability to read construction drawings and specifications Analytical skillset, systematic thinking A self-starter who shows passion, commitment, and ownership while delivering on business outcomes and driving results Preferred: Bachelor's degree preferred in construction management, or business MEP Equipment Experience Wynne Systems knowledge is an advantage Office and Travel Travel will be a requirement of this position. Responsibilities and Tasks Overall Work cross functionally with McGough Construction's estimating, project management, and field teams Ability to do quantity take offs Seek quotations capturing the pricing and availability of materials from a variety of suppliers and manage and report on the accumulative cost of all new purchases. Ability to creatively problem solve Six Side Supply is a startup, the SSSPM will have the ability ot experiment with new ideas, fail, learn, and keep experimenting. Ensure that projects remain profitable for Six Side by purchasing cost-effective materials. Collaborate with project and preconstruction teams regarding strategy and execute the bid and award process. Review plans, specifications and contracts to ensure the correct materials are ordered and/or purchased. Assess the reliability of sub-contractors and suppliers. Deal effectively with challenges regarding suppliers and the flow of materials. Understand and communicate delivery times. Negotiate and obtain the most favorable terms possible with suppliers once a contract has been secured. Keep detailed records and maintaining well-organized work and project schedules. Have the capability to multitask and handle a complex working environment. Provide prices for all assigned materials included in project plans and drawings. Prepare and maintain cost reports in order to maximize efficiency within the business. Seek to listen in order to understand and can convey information clearly. Be a strong problem solver who can identify, prioritize, and implement alternatives for issue resolution and demonstrates adaptability by collaborating with others to achieve excellence. Develop positive relationships with Contractors, Suppliers, Jobsite and Cross-Functional Team Members. Employee will be required to visit construction jobsites, which may expose the employee to dirt, dust, uneven surfaces, outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
