Pentair Management Company Assembly Operator Lead in White Bear Township, Minnesota

Job Description: Pentair has a job opportunity for you! Join us as an Assembly Operator Lead in our White Bear Lake, MN facility. The Assembly Operator Lead is responsible for ensuring the production flow in assigned work areas and processes. Performs initial troubleshooting identification and resolution. Responsible for coaching, on-the-job training, equipment escalation, materials coordination, line communication, work assignments, 5S audits, and safety inspections. This position works closely with Production Management, Engineering, Human Resources, Purchasing, Quality, Machine Shop, R&D, Engineering, and the Warehouse Departments. What's in it for you? The anticipated hourly pay range for this role is: $25.00 - $28.00. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be determined by considering demonstrable level of experience, skills, knowledge, and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs. Eligibility for annual pay increases based on company & individual performance 11 paid holidays each year 2 weeks of vacation to start (accrued weekly) prorated based on hire date Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance More details about the opportunity: Conducts start-up meetings which include leading stretches, conducting safety talks, issuing daily work assignments, and providing SQDCC updates during Gemba review Provides support to the Production Supervisor and reports any performance/attendance concerns as applicable Maintains accurate hour by hour charts and updates MDI board daily at end of shift Properly escalates equipment failure, Material issues to appropriate personnel Drives a continuous improvement culture through employee engagement Enforce company policies and department best practices Operates as variety of equipment applicable within the assigned work area and backfills roles to maintain flow (i.e. CRTs, pallet jacks, production equipment, etc.) Coordinates employee training to ensure all quality and customer requirements are met Works with key stakeholders (i.e. VSM, Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Engineer, Quality, EH&S, etc.) on improving internal procedures, documentation, and training through deployment of the lean methodology using RCCM documentation process Perform other duties as assigned Position hours/shift: 1st Shift: M-Th 5:00am-3:30pm, Some mandatory overtime on Fridays Requirements: HS Diploma or Equivalency Minimum of two years' experience as production lead with an emphasis on good manufacturing practices Knowledge of all operations of the assigned production process required, lean principles in order to lead and participate in Kaizen events and 5S activities Ability to write, speak, comprehend English Ability to use computers and MS Office Suite Knowledge of safety policies and procedures, and ability to promote compliance with them Skill in analytical thinking, mathematical reasoning, and problem solving to identify and support improvement efforts Skill in communicating effectively through oral and written communications, following detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures Skill in ability to communicate job expectations to production staff and achieving desired results by monitoring, coaching, enforcing policies and procedures and actively engage team members and provide the necessary support to keep the lines in continuous production mode. Ability to achieve high productivity by reliable and punctual attendance and reporting any tardiness, attendance issues and disciplinary issues to the Production Supervisor Ability to conduct operator training on standard work to include work instructions, machine adjustments, product quality, company and value stream policies and procedures as required Ability to adapt to rap dly changing business circumstance, balance working with multiple tasks and be able to deal well with frequent interruptions Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information and conduct self with high degree of professionalism and decorum Ongoing commitment to improving internal procedures, documentation, and training in coordination with the stakeholders Physical Requirements: Walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 40 lbs.
