Summary
The candidate will support the installation, optimization, integration, troubleshooting, backup, recovery, modifications, security, and upgrading of development support systems and simulation components. The individual will provide services that enable programs to effectively develop simulation software solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Experience working with complex configuration environments; build servers, virtual labs, generalizing tools to accommodate multiple languages and architectures, and assuring tools and processes scale to accommodate the evolving needs of our engineering teams.
Creation of media and procedures for execution of system cold start.
Work with other team members to design and document development system architectures and topologies for both general and simulation specific purposes.
Scripting (such as Bash/Powershell/Perl)
Account management: Users Creation, Group Creation, Permissions, Creations of Folders.
Perform problem diagnosis, troubleshooting and resolution
Maintain documentation for systems and data storage process and procedures
Create/Maintain Documentation for system setup and deploy.
Experience with System Hardening
System backup, restore, and archive using both native and third-party tools
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with peers, projects, vendors, and other teams
Event log, audit log and syslog analysis
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field or 3+ years of equivalent work experience
Linux and Windows System Administration, knowledge of hardware, as well as expertise in command line tools.
Linux/Windows Integration: File sharing, authentication.
Strong RedHat Linux and Windows Server System Administration, TCP/IP Networking, shell scripting
Experience with Domain Controller setup and configuration of Group Policy Objects
Configure, manage, monitor, and optimize on-line, near online and off-line storage systems (NAS, SAN, NFS, etc).
Strong problem solving and analysis skills.
Strong ability to gather and quickly analyze system and software problems.
Security+ Certification.
Strong writing skills to effectively create/update documentation for setup procedures and other system documentation.
Ability to work independently and meet/manage department obligations to assigned programs.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TOP SECRET Clearance is required
Preferred Skills
Strong Windows Server System setup and administration.
Windows/Linux integration: File Sharing, authentication.
Experience with legacy UNIX system administration.
Experience with SQL server database administration.
Experience with Domain Controller setup and creation, management, update, and deployment of Group Policy Objects.
Install and maintain version control tools such as Rational ClearCase/ClearQuest or Atlassian and Perforce/Git
Configure, manage, and monitor storage systems (NAS, SAN, NFS etc).
Experience configuring Cisco and/or HP networking equipment.
OS (Such as Red Hat or Windows) and or networking certifications
Custom Automated Operating system deployment, such as Windows Deployment Toolkit.
Experience with Windows and Linux Patch Management (such as WSUS and YUM).
Experience with Configuration Management.
Experience as a Team Lead to include task and budget management
Setup and management of Centralized Auditing.
Setup and management of centralized patching (such as WSUS).
Experience with System hardening (Implementation of the Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)).
Experience with vulnerability scanners such as ACAS/Nessus and SCAP.
Security Responsibilities
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
Work Environment
Duties performed in an office environment and simulator facility.
Must be able to work overtime, on and off-shifts as required.
The employee is on call 24x7 for the resolution of problems and issues

Employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, in person, in meetings and by telephone.
Manual dexterity to operate computers or other standard office equipment and reach with hands and arms.
Able to support rack mounted equipment (up to 7 feet off the ground).
