Recent graduates in Food Safety or a related field with knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and food regulations
What does this role involve?
Scheduling of product testing, Recall/Product Removal coordination, monitoring of TTR devices, maintenance of employee certifications, research on regulatory requirements, and food safety policies. More details can be found in the job description

Food Safety and Quality Assurance Assistant– Job Description

The Food Safety and Quality Assurance Assistant will provide technical assistance and leadership for Restaurant Depot’s Food Safety and Quality Assurance Program. You will focus on quality and food safety of imports, quality assurance of our private label brands, foreign supplier verification and product testing. Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists in organization and flow of master document revisions; revising documents as needed and on a schedule. Updates master files and sends out notification of changes as well as calendaring reviews of documents
Create and provide reports to Buying & QA Department to ensure information is up to date.
May track and Monitor QA Holds
Facilitates and manages customer requests i.e. Kosher, Halal, and Gluten Free
Leads special project assignments as necessary requiring extreme attention to detail and knowledge of the QA programs.
Backs up the Quality Supervisor when needed.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
Bachelor's degree preferred
2+ years manufacturing and/or shipping/receiving experience
Ability to work well with others in a team environment and independently
Self-motivated and manages time efficiently
Demonstrates strong organizational skills
Pays close attention to detail and completes work accurately and efficiently
Communicates clearly and effectively
Demonstrates professional and polite demeanor with internal and external customers
Education and Experience
Previous experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
