JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 21097 ATTENTION: The University Center at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater seeks a Program Specialist Intersectional & Greek Programs (Student Affairs Program Specialist, AE192). JOB DETAILS: The Program Specialist Intersectional & Greek Programs responsibilities include leadership in designing and implementing campus-wide programs in the area of intersectional experiences and identities. These efforts include intersectional education, identity enrichment programs, and intersectional outreach. They reach out to and work closely with faculty, departments, organizations, and alumni to create these events and opportunities for the Campus community. The position also leads the MLK Celebration campus committee and identity education efforts annually. Position responsibilities will also include providing Greek Community support and advising 1 of 4 councils of the Greek Community including President monthly meetings, assessment data gathering, training, and recognition. Additionally, they will support unit leadership program coordination, ULEAD, and coordinate Greek programs semester as assigned. The position is also responsible for other departmental and campus planning as needed and evening and weekend hours will be necessary. Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities: Unit: -Develop successful, collaborative relationships within and outside of the University community in order to enhance student learning and achieve the unit\'s mission and goals. -Represent the department to the University community and external constituencies, such as national organizations and Alumni. Ensure the department is well respected by those we serve (including students, faculty, University administration, parents, and employers) by effectively communicating, and sharing the success and contribution of the unit and Greek Life to the University\'s mission, strategic plan, and recruitment and retention efforts. -Participate in staff meetings as well as participate as a member of the Greek Advising Team. -Will be an active participant in following applicable safety rules, regulations, University policy and risk reduction including necessary training and drills -Assist with communicating the purposes & values of the Co-Curricular experience with students, faculty, families & community. Preferred Characteristics: -Master\'s degree and related work experience, preferably in higher education. -Sensitivity to students and an ability to relate on many different levels to the diverse student, faculty/staff, and community contacts this position encounters is essential.
