Aerotek Maintenance Technician in Whitsett, North Carolina

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

  • The Maintenance Technician role is responsible for electrical and mechanical maintenance working on CNC machinery and other industrial machinery.

  • Pay range from $30-37/hr

  • Monday through Friday with 48 hours weekly - some Saturdays will be required

  • Advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repair and adjustments

  • Ability to safely work with voltages: 12V single phase to 460V three phase

  • Troubleshoot and repair PLC/Robotics/Programming issues

  • Knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC/ProLogix Software

  • Troubleshoot gearboxes, motors, servo motors, servo drives, proximity and photo eyes, power supplies, bearings, linear rails, chains, sprockets, seals, and power transmission drives/components

  • Work from mechanical drawings, specifications, and manuals

  • Fabricate needed fixturing or manage outsourcing as required

  • Lead maintenance teams, EHS improvements, project management

  • Experience in robot integration, automation and robot preventive maintenance

  • Ability to troubleshoot CNC machinery

  • Additional Skills:

  • Experience in CNC Maintenance

  • Preventative maintenance skillset

  • Experience in PLC Troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Fanuc)

  • Experience in Electrical Systems 24VDC – 480VAC, Conveyors, Parts Washer Systems, TEFC Motors

  • Experience in Mechanical Systems – Gear Reducers, Chain Systems, Bearings, Pulleys

  • Experience in Hydraulics/Pneumatic Systems – DC Valves, Motors, Distribution, Low Voltage Directional Manifolds, Proximity Sensors

  • Preferred Metal Fabrication – Welding (MIG/TIG/STICK)

  • Experience in 6s, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen Projects

  • Previous Team Leader or Supervisory Experience

  • Training Levels – Forklift, Safety Team, First Aid, NPFE 70E Arc Flash, OSHA 10

  • This is a fully on-site position in Whitsett, North Carolina.
