Growing Personal Care Manufacturer in Orange County/Inland Empire is seeking a 2nd shift Microbiologist to join their team! This is a 6 month contract-to-hire position.

Pay rate range: $25-27/hr

Responsibilities:

• Write and validate microbiological procedures, test samples and interpretation of results.

• Obtain samples and determine timing and testing of each sample.

• Perform microbiological testing of bulk samples, finished goods, raw materials and other samples as outlined in SOP’s.

• Perform preservative efficiency/challenge testing.

• Review, interpret and perform test protocols as directed.

• Develop and coordinate document control related to microbiological testing.

• Maintains and coordinates equipment calibration.

• Maintain various logbooks with departmental data.

• Adhere to all GMP and safety requirements and procedures in the work environment.

• Support other areas of QC with clerical support as needed.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• BS in Microbiology or other scientific discipline

• 2 year of experience preferred.

• Able to interface with all departments and various levels of employees.

• Able to follow procedures and instructions.

• Able to work in fast-paced environment with limited supervision.

• Must be detailed oriented with strong clerical and time management skills.
