JOB SUMMARY :

Interns will provide technical assistance, technical proposals and problem summaries for servicing and development of Textron Aviation products.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Collaborate, coordinate and/or develop Standardized Troubleshooting technical data for New Product Development, Technical Publications and Customer Service.

  • Provide technical support to the Customer Service - Product Support organization.

  • Organizes, writes and prepares technical data and problem summaries from field reports and inspection summaries to brief marketing, engineering and manufacturing functions on field problems.

  • Acts as liaison between Field Service, Manufacturing, Engineering & Technical Publications on customer problems and corrective measures.

Qualifications

EDUCATION :

Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD Degree in:

  • Avionics Engineering

  • Aerospace Engineering

  • Mechanical Engineering

  • Or related Engineering Field

POSITION REQUIREMENTS :

  • Technical knowledge in aircraft systems (including but not limited to: Propulsion, Avionics, Landing Gear, Flight Controls, Electrical, Hydraulics, Environmental, etc.)

  • Aircraft maintenance knowledge or experience including background knowledge of mechanical, diagnostic, and electrical systems.

  • Excellent oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Technical interpretation of engineering data

  • Good computer skills

  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work in a team environment to meet department level objectives

Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship.

Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks.

Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.
