2nd shift Maintenance Technician

Overview:\ We are seeking a skilled and reliable Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a vital member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences through the maintenance of our premises.

Responsibilities:

• Routine Maintenance:Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on various equipment and systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal functionality.
• Repair and Troubleshooting:Diagnose and repair issues related to building systems, equipment, and appliances promptly to minimize downtime and ensure guest comfort.
• Emergency Response:Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies such as leaks, power outages, and equipment failures, and take appropriate corrective actions to resolve issues efficiently.
• Safety Compliance:Conduct routine inspections to identify safety hazards and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Take proactive measures to address any safety concerns and maintain a safe environment for guests and staff.
• Record Keeping:Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment inventory, and inspection reports. Update maintenance logs and documentation as required to track maintenance history and facilitate future repairs.
• Team Collaboration:Coordinate with other members of the maintenance team and collaborate with department heads to prioritize tasks, share information, and ensure seamless communication across departments.
• Guest Interaction:Interact with guests in a courteous and professional manner when performing maintenance tasks in guest rooms or public areas. Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and escalate issues as necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Technical Skills:Some skills in troubleshooting and repairing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Familiarity with hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance techniques.
• Experience:Experience in hotel maintenance or a related field, with a proven track record of performing maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Problem-Solving Abilities:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify issues, evaluate options, and implement solutions under pressure.
• Attention to Detail:Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality throughout the hotel premises.
• Communication Skills:Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with guests, coworkers, and vendors.
• Flexibility:Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed to accommodate maintenance emergencies and operational requirements.
• Physical Stamina:Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks for extended periods in various environmental conditions.
