Where do you fit?

To be a successful Community Resource Coordinator you must become able to do the following always:

  1. Maintain a robust partner network, with a particular focus on cultivating relationships with direct service providers.
  2. Cultivate relationships across diverse communities and inform staff of current client resources and opportunities around housing, education, employment, financial capability, health/mental health, social capital, and permanence that are responsive to their cultures and identities.
  3. Provide continual updated resource directory and education around equitable opportunities for housing, education, employment, financial capability, health/mental health, and social capital to staff, and community partners as they provide these opportunities to our clients.
  4. Foster relationship building, collaboration, and promote equitable services for clients. This includes strengthening relationships with partners, identifying and addressing improvements to working together to authentically support our clients including implementation of equitable and best practices and continued communication strategies.
  5. Serve as an advocate in the community to ensure that the needs of our clients are a priority in the systems designed to support them and the broader community.
  6. Follow Company Policy and Procedure and operate according to the Companys Program Practice Guidelines.

  • 80% Community Resources
  • 20% Collaboration

Requirements

To qualify for this job, you need to have:

  1. High School or GED required. Bachelors degree in social work, human services, or in a relevant field is preferred.
  2. Work Experience - At least two years of directly related experience working with children and families in child welfare. Preference will be given to candidates with a working knowledge of community resources and a track record of collaboration,
  3. Demonstrate success in strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities at once. Ability to work well independently and as a member of a highly integrated and diverse team. Demonstrated ability to assess problem situations/conflict, which includes identifying causes, gathering, and processing relevant information, generating possible solutions, and making recommendations and/or resolving problems.
  4. Must pass a background check, fingerprinting, and physical and drug screening.
  5. Maintain company-required training.
  6. Ability to travel, driving company or personal vehicle including at night. Ability to do the occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Able to walk upstairs. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends. The employee is subject to outside environmental conditions occasionally, inside conditions frequently, with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change.
